Kelsey Wotzka joins LION Publishers as our Membership Success Associate
Kelsey will focus on the efficiency of our membership systems, processes and customer support to provide a quality experience.
More than 450 news entrepreneurs and independent publishers are now LION members, and we expect that number to continue growing as we see the independent local news industry gain even more momentum.
And as LION’s membership increases across the U.S. and Canada, so will our team’s capacity to provide our members with the support, training and community networks they need to build more sustainable businesses.
That’s why we’re thrilled to welcome Kelsey Wotzka as LION’s Membership Success Associate, a role that is focused on ensuring that our membership systems, processes and customer support operate efficiently to provide a quality experience for our current and potential members. Kelsey’s work will include:
- Managing LION’s membership application process for prospective members and supporting the renewal process for existing members
- Answering questions and providing support to existing and prospective members regarding member benefits, membership status, program eligibility and managing member requests related to Facebook support
- Supporting the logistics of virtual and in-person member meetups, including our annual LION Awards program and ceremony
Kelsey most recently worked at the National Museum of Wildlife Art, where she coordinated the membership program, served as the data administrator, and co-led a thriving community engagement initiative focused on accessibility. Prior to that, she managed data systems and donor services at Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity.
Kelsey is based in Jackson, Wyoming, where she can be found hiking, snowboarding, and planning her next backpacking trip. She also serves on the board of directors of ShelterJH, a local nonprofit organization building grassroots support to address the housing crisis in the Tetons.
We’re so excited to have Kelsey join LION to focus on providing responsive support to our growing membership across the U.S. and Canada and help make sure that LION is providing a quality experience to our community of practice. You can reach her at kelseywotzka@lionpublishers.com.
