Jess deRivera joins LION Publishers as our Membership Services Manager
She’ll help provide a seamless experience to current and prospective members.
In the last several years, LION’s growth has skyrocketed. We now support nearly 600 independent news businesses around the U.S. and Canada. In fact, according to our latest data, LION membership is already up 33% since the first quarter of last year.
And to help ensure we continue to provide consistent, high-quality service to our members, we’re thrilled to welcome Jess deRivera, our new membership services manager, to the team.
Jess will primarily focus on managing membership accounts and helping members take advantage of the products and discounted services available to them. So if you’re a current or potential member and need help navigating all that LION has to offer, she’ll be your go-to guide. Her work will also include:
- Reviewing new membership applications and renewals to ensure that all members meet the standards for LION’s membership criteria
- Soliciting member feedback and engaging in the development of strategies to encourage member retention
- Helping identify opportunities to add benefits, services, or other resources that will address the most crucial business needs of our members
Jess comes to us from KIPP Philadelphia, where she managed the individual donor program. Before that, Jess was Billy Penn at WHYY’s development and engagement manager, leading the membership program and revenue campaigns, and supporting other newsroom operations.
Jess likes running by the Cooper River, perusing the farmer’s market, and exploring thrift shops in Collingswood, New Jersey, where she lives with her family. Please join us in welcoming Jess to our team! You can reach her at [email protected].
